Rabbi Yehiel M. Kalish has been advising nonprofit organizations, healthcare facilities, educational entities, and financial service companies on government affairs — and helping them raise capital — for more than a dozen years.
Before co-founding the S4 Group, Rabbi Kalish served as both Vice President and National Director of Government Affairs of Agudath Israel of America, a national advocacy and community organization. Using his strong relationships in government and his management expertise, he facilitated tens of millions of dollars in state and federal aid to communities in need nationwide, earning numerous professional and community awards.
Rabbi Kalish began his career in 2002 as the Midwest Regional Director of Agudath Israel in Chicago. There he helped lead the unprecedented expansion of Agudath Israel into 27 states and raised $3 million annually, much of it from new donors.
While living in Far Rockaway, New York to be closer to Agudath Israel of America’s national headquarters, Rabbi Kalish witnessed Superstorm Sandy’s devastation to his community. He immediately volunteered for Achiezer, a community organization, where he began and organized a special campaign that raised $8 million to help rebuild lives, homes, and business that were destroyed by the second-costliest hurricane in U.S. history.
Rabbi Kalish currently lives in Chicago with his wife and six children. When he is not serving clients, he attends the Harvard Kennedy School of Government for Executive Education. He earned his masters in Public Administration from Walden University and received his rabbinical ordination from Hebrew Theological College.
